The last time I was in Amsterdam was summer 2013, so after over 5 years, it was great to be back to this uber cool city. The primary reason to go back was to visit Louis who moved over there and it was a great weekend away!
We arrived on Friday night and had some dinner and chilled drinks at a pub.

The next day I met up with Amy for brunch at Little Collins. The food was great and it was lovely to catch up!

Afterwards, we went ice skating at Museumplein but it was probably the worst ice skating rink I’ve ever been on as there was SO much water and the ice was very uneven. I wouldn’t recommend it as it cost €13 for it and for the facilities and what you get, it was not worth it! We still skated around for a bit and enjoy some mulled wine.

We headed to Brouwerij ‘t Ij which is a small brewery which served great beer, meat and cheese. We then headed to the Waterkant for more pre dinner drinks. For dinner, we went to Pesca which was a fabulous seafood restaurant. The concept is that you choose your seafood at the front of the restaurant, you get a buzzer and you collect it as the meals are ready.

The next morning, it had stopped raining so I went to explore the city. I went to Lanskroon and had their stroopwafel and then went to Winkel 43 to try their famous apple pie. I highly recommend trying both!
Afterwards, I met up with the others for lunch at Restaurant Breda. We had the 3 courses which is €29.50 and it was delicious.

It was a lovely weekend away, catching up with friends and visiting Amsterdam again after 5 years!
