To go to Oktoberfest has been high on my bucket list and this was the year to tick it off! I had an amazing time in Munich especially with my Aarhus exchange friend, Fran and Johannes hosting over the weekend.
I arrived on Friday afternoon and we headed to beer garden at the Chinesischer Turm. We shared a lot of traditional German food including pretzel, pork knuckle, cabbage salad, a cheese dip, spatzle which were all delicious. We of course had some beer too!
The next morning, Fran and Johannes made an awesome breakfast spread!

We then headed out towards Marienplatz and then to Oktoberfest around 2pm.

As it was the first day of Oktoberfest, people line up at 6-7am to try get a table at one of the tents. We were lucky to get into the Schutzen tent after 2pm and we had a really fun time, drinking the massive steins and enjoying the atmosphere.
The next day, we headed to Cotidiano for breakfast. We also got to see the parade as it was close by and then walked around town before my flight back to London in the afternoon.
It was such a fun weekend, catching up with friends and I can’t wait to be back in 2020!
