Liz has left to go to HCMC herself whilst I explored a bit of Hanoi on my own. The reason for my extended trip is because I was partaking in a UTS BUiLD (Beyond UTS International Leadership Development) Program which is a fantastic leadership initiative to foster interest in social and global issues and a chance to travel and be involved in the wider community.
The Social Entrepreneurship Program was a short 8 day program in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and we were able to explore different social enterprise models, visit organisations and learn more about the country and culture. We stayed at the Sofitel in Hanoi and Sheraton in Saigon (talk about luxury), met AMAZING people and I had a fantastic time with everyone! Not only that, I had the opportunity to really delve into the social aspect of Vietnam, allow myself to really challenge my thoughts, ideas and be inspired. It puts a lot of perspective back into my life and it also gave me the realisation of how lucky we are in Australia.
